Friday, March 13, 2025–Courageous Faith: Courage To Persevere

Key Verse:

“Let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”

— Galatians 6:9

Rooted Truth:

Courageous faith continues doing good even when the results are not immediately visible.

Faith Story:

One of the quiet struggles of faith is discouragement.

It is not always opposition that weakens us. Sometimes it is simply the slow pace of progress. We pray, serve, and remain faithful, yet the fruit seems delayed. The change we hoped for has not yet appeared. The answers we longed for have not yet come.

In those moments, weariness can creep into the heart.

Paul understood this struggle, which is why he wrote these words to the believers in Galatia:

“Let us not be weary in well doing.”

Faithfulness often unfolds slowly. Seeds planted today may not bear fruit until a later season. Acts of obedience that seem small in the moment may carry eternal significance beyond what we can see.

God’s timing rarely matches our impatience. But His promises remain sure.

The verse continues with a quiet but powerful assurance:

“In due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”

Due season belongs to God. Our role is perseverance.

Every prayer offered in faith, every act of kindness, every decision to obey Christ—even when unnoticed—becomes part of the harvest God is preparing.

Courageous faith keeps moving forward, trusting that the Lord who sees in secret will bring fruit in His perfect time.

Scripture for Deeper Roots:

Hebrews 10:36 – “Ye have need of patience…”

James 1:12 – “Blessed is the man that endureth temptation…”

Psalm 126:5 – “They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.”

Daily Practice:

Identify one good work or spiritual discipline you have been tempted to abandon. Commit to continuing it faithfully today.

Daily Prayer:

Lord, when discouragement tempts me to give up, strengthen my heart. Help me remain faithful in the work You have given me to do. Teach me to trust Your timing and persevere in doing good.

Amen.

Deep Reflection:

• Where have you recently felt weary in doing good?

• What promises of God strengthen your perseverance?

• How might God be working behind the scenes in ways you cannot yet see?
