Jesus, who was the very Son of God, withdrew often to lonely places to pray (Luke 5:16).

He went to the Father in private fellowship.

Why?

Because love grows in secret.

Because the fire of the heart is tended away from the crowd.

When we meet with God privately—without performance, without distraction, without an audience—

we love Him for Him, not for what He gives.

That’s where hearts become His entirely.

Loving God with all your heart begins where the door shuts and His presence fills the room.

to seek Your face for the joy of knowing You,

and to find my greatest treasure in Your presence alone.
