Sunday, November 9, 2025–Hearts On Fire: Rekindled By His Word

Key Verse:

“But his word was in mine heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones,

and I was weary with forbearing, and I could not stay.”

— Jeremiah 20:9

Rooted Truth:

The fire of revival begins where the Word of God burns within the heart.

Faith Story:

The prophet Jeremiah tried to stay silent. The opposition was fierce. The people rejected his message, mocked his obedience, and scorned his tears.

But he couldn’t stop.

Why?

Because the Word of God inside him was fire.

It burned too hot to contain.

Too powerful to silence.

Too alive to ignore.

God’s Word isn’t ink on a page—it’s flame from heaven. It convicts, cleanses, and ignites faith where there was once apathy. A heart on fire for God is always a heart filled with Scripture.

If our flame has dimmed, we don’t need more emotion—we need more encounter. Every time you open the Bible with faith, you hand the Spirit a match.

Scripture for Deeper Roots:

Luke 24:32 – “Did not our heart burn within us… while he opened to us the scriptures?”

Psalm 119:105 – “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.”

Hebrews 4:12 – “For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword…”

Daily Practice:

Find one passage today that stirs your spirit—read it slowly, pray it aloud, and meditate on it throughout the day. Ask God to make His Word burn within you again.

Daily Prayer:

Lord, let Your Word come alive in me. Ignite my heart with truth, awaken my spirit with power, and let Your fire burn through every part of my life. Make me a living testimony of the Word that cannot be contained. Amen.

Deep Reflection:

• When was the last time the Word of God stirred your heart deeply?

• How can you rekindle your hunger for Scripture this week?

• What verse or passage has God used to ignite faith in you before?
