Saturday, November 8, 2025–Revival Fire: A People Set Ablaze

Key Verse:

“Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord.”

— Romans 12:11

Rooted Truth:

When revival takes hold of the heart, it doesn’t end with emotion—it ignites devotion.

Faith Story:

John Wesley once prayed,

“I set myself on fire, and people come to watch me burn.”

He wasn’t talking about passion for attention, but passion for God. That kind of spiritual fire can’t be manufactured—it’s born from intimacy with Jesus.

When the early Church received the Holy Spirit in Acts 2, they didn’t go back to life as usual. They preached, prayed, and lived with holy boldness. Their lives became living flames that spread the light of the gospel to the ends of the earth.

The true mark of revival is not how loud we shout, but how brightly we shine. God’s fire in us should light up dark places, warm cold hearts, and spread the love of Christ everywhere we go.

Revived people don’t just attend revival—they become revival.

Scripture for Deeper Roots:

Matthew 5:14–16 – “Ye are the light of the world… let your light so shine before men…”

Hebrews 12:29 – “For our God is a consuming fire.”

Jeremiah 20:9 – “…His word was in mine heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones…”

Daily Practice:

Ask the Lord to make you a living flame for His glory. Pray for one person you can encourage, pray with, or witness to today. Let the fire God kindled in you spread to someone else.

Daily Prayer:

Lord, make me a vessel of Your fire. Let my life burn bright with love, truth, and boldness. May Your Spirit consume everything that’s not of You and use me to ignite hearts around me for Your glory. Amen.

Deep Reflection:

• What does it look like for your life to be “set ablaze” for God?

• Who in your life needs to feel the warmth of your faith and the light of your witness?

• How can you keep the fire of revival burning beyond this week?
