Friday, September 19, 2025–God Of The Impossible: Faith That Moves Mountains

Key Verse:

“He said to them, ‘Because of your little faith. For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, “Move from here to there,” and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.’”

— Matthew 17:20

Rooted Truth:

It’s not the size of your faith that matters, but the greatness of the God you place it in.

Faith Story:

After years of praying for revival in Wales, Evan Roberts and a group of young believers began to cry out for God to move. Their faith, though small in the eyes of many, ignited the Welsh Revival of 1904–1905, where over 100,000 people came to Christ in just a few months.

The mountains of spiritual apathy and unbelief crumbled because a handful of believers trusted the God of the impossible.

Our “mustard seed faith” doesn’t move mountains because of us—but because God is the Mountain-Mover.

Scripture for Deeper Roots:

Mark 11:23 – “…whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes… it will be done for him.”

Hebrews 11:1 – “Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.”

Romans 10:17 – “So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.”

Daily Practice:

Take one “mountain” in your life—an obstacle, sin, or challenge—and speak God’s promises over it. Pray in faith, even if your trust feels small, believing God is able to move it.

Daily Prayer:

Lord, thank You that even a mustard seed of faith is powerful when placed in You. Grow my trust and teach me to depend on Your strength. Move the mountains in my life according to Your will, and let my faith bring glory to Your name. Amen.

Deep Reflection:

• What “mountain” feels immovable in your life right now?

• How does remembering God’s power shift the way you pray?

• What step of faith could you take today, even if it feels small?
