Key Verse:
“Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and the LORD drove the sea back by a strong east wind all night and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided.”
— Exodus 14:21
Rooted Truth:
When there seems to be no way forward, God makes a way.
Faith Story:
The Israelites stood trapped between Pharaoh’s army and the Red Sea. From their perspective, it was certain death. But God told Moses to lift his staff, and the waters parted. What looked like the end became the pathway to freedom.
Centuries later, missionary George Müller, who cared for thousands of orphans, faced another “Red Sea moment.” With no food for breakfast, the children sat at empty tables. Müller prayed. Moments later, a baker knocked on the door saying he couldn’t sleep and felt compelled to bring bread. Shortly after, a milk cart broke down outside, providing milk for every child.
God makes a way—whether through seas parting or daily bread arriving at the doorstep.
Scripture for Deeper Roots:
Isaiah 43:16 – “Thus says the LORD, who makes a way in the sea, a path in the mighty waters.”
Psalm 77:19 – “Your way was through the sea, your path through the great waters…”
John 14:6 – “I am the way, and the truth, and the life…”
Daily Practice:
Think about an obstacle you face that feels like a dead end. Pray boldly: “Lord, make a way where there is no way.” Trust His timing and provision.
Daily Prayer:
Lord, You are the God who makes a way. When I feel trapped, remind me that You are never limited. Lead me forward in faith, and let my obstacles become testimonies of Your power. Amen.
Deep Reflection:
• What “Red Sea” moment have you faced where God provided a way?
• How do fear and doubt cloud your vision when you’re at a dead end?
• What would it look like to trust God to make a way in your current valley or challenge?
