Key Verse:
“So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.”
— 1 Corinthians 10:31
Rooted Truth:
Holiness isn’t just found in grand gestures—it’s practiced in everyday moments.
Faith Story:
Brother Lawrence, a 17th-century French monk, lived a quiet life as a kitchen servant. Yet his devotion to God in the smallest acts of daily life made him one of the most quoted spiritual writers in history. He wrote:
“We ought not to be weary of doing little things for the love of God, who regards not the greatness of the work but the love with which it is performed.”
Washing dishes. Cooking meals. Cleaning floors. Brother Lawrence met God in it all. Holiness, he discovered, was not about doing more—it was about doing everything with God.
Scripture for Deeper Roots:
Colossians 3:17 – “And whatever you do… do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus…”
Micah 6:8 – “…to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God.”
Matthew 25:40 – “As you did it to one of the least of these… you did it to me.”
Daily Practice:
Pick one task today—mundane or routine—and offer it to God in prayer. Invite Him into it. Do it with excellence and gratitude as worship.
Daily Prayer:
Lord, I long to honor You not just in the big things, but in every small detail of my day. Make my hands faithful. Fill my heart with worship. Help me see every moment as holy when it’s done with You. Amen.
Deep Reflection:
What everyday parts of life do you overlook as “unspiritual”?
How can you begin to practice God’s presence in those moments?
What would change if you lived every task as a holy offering?
