Saturday, July 12, 2025–The Power of Prayer: Never Stop Praying

Key Verse:

“Pray without ceasing.”

— 1 Thessalonians 5:17

Rooted Truth:

Prayer is not just something we do—it’s a life we live. Continual communion with God is possible and powerful.

Faith Story:

Smith Wigglesworth, a British evangelist known for his radical faith and healing ministry, once said:

“I don’t often spend more than half an hour in prayer at one time—but I never go more than half an hour without praying.”

For Wigglesworth, prayer wasn’t scheduled—it was constant. He lived with a heart tuned toward heaven, ready to praise, petition, and intercede in every moment. It wasn’t about posture or place—it was about presence and awareness.

Scripture for Deeper Roots:

Colossians 4:2 – “Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving.”

Ephesians 6:18 – “…praying at all times in the Spirit…”

Psalm 105:4 – “Seek the Lord and his strength; seek his presence continually!”

Daily Practice:

Set a timer or reminder to pause and pray briefly every few hours today. Keep the conversation with God going, even in the mundane moments. Invite Him in.

Daily Prayer:

Lord, help me to live in constant awareness of You. Not just in quiet times or church settings, but in traffic, at work, in conversations. Make my life a living prayer—always seeking, always listening, always connected to You. Amen.

Deep Reflection:

What does “praying without ceasing” look like practically in your life?

When during your day do you feel closest to God—or farthest?

How can you stay spiritually aware and prayerful, even when you’re busy?
