Key Verse:

“Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved.”

— Psalm 55:22

Rooted Truth:

God doesn’t just give you strength—He carries you when you no longer have the strength to stand.

Faith Story:

Joni Eareckson Tada, paralyzed from the neck down after a diving accident at age 17, has lived her entire adult life in a wheelchair. Yet her testimony is radiant with joy and dependence on God. She once said:

“The weaker I am, the harder I must lean on God—and the harder I lean, the stronger I discover Him to be.”

Joni’s story reminds us that God doesn’t expect us to carry our burdens alone. He is not just a helper—He is the One who lifts, sustains, and holds us together when we’re falling apart. Grace doesn’t just fill in the gaps—it carries the whole load.

Scripture for Deeper Roots:

Deuteronomy 33:27 – “The eternal God is your dwelling place, and underneath are the everlasting arms.”

1 Peter 5:7 – “Casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.”

Isaiah 46:4 – “Even to your old age I am he… I will carry you.”

Daily Practice:

Close your eyes and picture laying your heaviest burden at Jesus’ feet. Speak it aloud if you can. Then say, “Lord, I trust You to carry me.” Let go of what was never yours to bear alone.

Daily Prayer:

Father, thank You that You don’t expect me to carry life’s weight by myself. Help me to release what I’ve been holding on to. Teach me to lean hard on Your grace and find peace in Your strength. Amen.

Deep Reflection:

What burden are you carrying in your own strength right now?

How would it feel to be carried by God instead?

What practical step can you take today to surrender that weight?
