Key Verse:
“He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, he has put eternity into man’s heart, yet so that he cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end.”
— Ecclesiastes 3:11
Rooted Truth:
God’s timing isn’t just different—it’s perfect. We may not understand His schedule, but we can trust His heart.
Faith Story:
George Müller, a 19th-century Christian evangelist known for his unwavering faith and his work with orphans in England, once said:
“The beginning of anxiety is the end of faith, and the beginning of true faith is the end of anxiety.”
Müller cared for over 10,000 orphans in his lifetime, never once asking for money directly. He trusted that God would provide exactly what was needed, when it was needed. Many times, provision would come at the very last moment—just when hope seemed to wane. Yet never once did God fail him. His life stands as a testimony that waiting on God’s timing is never wasted when faith leads the way.
Scripture for Deeper Roots:
Habakkuk 2:3 – “For still the vision awaits its appointed time… If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay.”
Isaiah 60:22 – “When the time is right, I, the Lord, will make it happen.”
Psalm 27:14 – “Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!”
Daily Practice:
Write down an area of your life where you’re waiting for God to move. Beside it, write: “In His time, not mine.” Speak this truth aloud throughout your day whenever impatience arises.
Daily Prayer:
Lord, I confess that I don’t always understand Your timing. But I choose to trust You. Help me to surrender my schedule and live in Your rhythm. Remind me that delay is not denial, and that Your timing brings beauty. Amen.
Deep Reflection:
Where in your life are you struggling to trust God’s timing?
What would it look like to truly rest in His pace instead of rushing your own?
How might patience be an act of worship?
