Key Verse:
“The steps of a man are established by the Lord, when he delights in his way.”
— Psalm 37:23
Rooted Truth
Life is filled with decisions—big and small—and at times it can feel overwhelming to know which way to go. But here’s the promise: you are not navigating life alone. God not only watches your steps—He establishes them.
To “establish” means to make firm, secure, and steady. This doesn’t mean life will always feel clear or easy, but it does mean your path is under God’s direction when your heart delights in Him.
When we seek Him, trust Him, and walk in step with His Word, He lovingly guides us—even through uncertainty. Proverbs 3:5–6 reminds us to trust and not lean on our own understanding, and in doing so, He will make our paths straight.
Faith Story
George Washington Carver, the pioneering scientist and Christ-follower, once said:
“If you love it enough, anything will talk with you.”
He spoke of nature—but he also applied this to his relationship with God. Carver often prayed over his work, asking God to show him the secrets of creation—and God faithfully guided his steps. His quiet walk with God shaped breakthroughs that changed the world.
Carver didn’t have all the answers—but he walked daily with the One who did.
Scriptures for Deeper Roots

Isaiah 30:21 – “This is the way, walk in it”
Daily Practice
Pause before every decision today—big or small—and pray:
“Lord, establish my steps.”
Whether it’s a conversation, a task, or a transition, invite God into your process. Let Him shape your direction, not just your destination.
Daily Prayer
Lord, I need Your guidance. There are moments when I don’t know what to do or which way to go. But I trust You to lead. Establish my steps today. Help me delight in Your way, and walk with confidence that You are guiding me—even when the path isn’t clear.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
