Key Verse:
“You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.”
— Isaiah 26:3
Rooted Truth
Peace is one of the most sought-after—and most elusive—gifts in the world. The world offers temporary relief, distraction, and numbing, but only God promises a peace that lasts—a perfect peace that guards the mind and heart.
Isaiah 26:3 gives us the key: peace is the fruit of trusting God and fixing our thoughts on Him. When our minds are “stayed” on Him—anchored, focused, centered—His peace steadies us. Not because everything is calm around us, but because Christ is calm within us.
This isn’t a peace that comes from escape—it’s a peace that holds us in the middle of chaos. Jesus echoed this in John 14:27: “My peace I give to you… not as the world gives.” His peace is supernatural, sustaining, and stronger than any storm.
Faith Story
Missionary Elisabeth Elliot, after losing her husband to martyrdom in Ecuador, often taught about peace in pain. She once wrote:
“The secret is Christ in me, not me in a different set of circumstances.”
Her life didn’t become easier, but her peace grew deeper. She learned that the presence of Christ was greater than the absence of trouble.

Daily Practice
What thoughts have been occupying your mind lately?
Worry? Regret? Control? Fear?
Write them down—then surrender each one in prayer.
Afterward, repeat Isaiah 26:3 slowly:
“You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you…”
Let your focus become your refuge.
Daily Prayer
Father, You are the God of peace. I confess how easily my thoughts drift into fear, doubt, or distraction. Anchor my mind in You today. Keep me steady when the waves rise. Teach me to trust You more deeply and experience the peace that only You can give.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
