May 27, 2025-He Will Hear Your Prayers

Key Verse:

“Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you.”

— Jeremiah 29:12

Rooted Truth

One of the most reassuring promises in Scripture is this: God hears. Not just the well-worded prayers or the passionate pleas, but even the quiet cries of a weary heart. He listens—not as a distant deity, but as a present Father.

When the people of Israel were in exile, feeling forgotten and far from home, God spoke these words through the prophet Jeremiah: “Call to Me. Come to Me. I will hear you.” It was a promise to a people who had lost much—but had not lost God’s attention.

Prayer is not a monologue—it’s a divine conversation. And God’s promise is that when we call, He listens. Not because we get it all right, but because His heart is tuned to His children.

Faith Story

George Müller, known for his radical trust in God’s provision, famously kept a journal of thousands of specific answered prayers. He once said:

“The great point is never to give up until the answer comes.”

Müller’s life was a testimony that God doesn’t just hear—He responds. His prayers weren’t rooted in perfect eloquence, but in bold belief that God’s ear was always inclined toward His people.

Scriptures for Deeper Roots

Jeremiah 29:12–13 – Call on Me and I will hear you

Psalm 34:15 – His ears are open to their cry

1 John 5:14 – He hears us when we pray according to His will

Matthew 7:7–11 – Ask, seek, knock—God responds as a loving Father

Daily Practice

Take a few moments today for honest, unfiltered prayer.

No filters. No pressure. Just real talk with your Father.

Write your prayer out if it helps. Then, take a moment of quiet to simply listen—resting in the truth that He hears you.

Daily Prayer

Father, thank You for the promise that You hear me. Even when I don’t feel it. Even when answers delay. Even when I don’t know what to say. Teach me to come to You with confidence, not performance. Let my prayers rise in faith and rest in Your listening love.

In Jesus’ name,

Amen.

Deep Reflection

What keeps you from praying with boldness and consistency?

When have you most clearly experienced God’s answer to prayer?

How does knowing God hears you change the way you approach Him today?
