May 25, 2025-He Will Never Leave You

Key Verse:

“It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.”

— Deuteronomy 31:8

Rooted Truth

One of the most comforting promises in all of Scripture is this: you are never alone. When Moses spoke these words over Joshua, it wasn’t just a farewell blessing—it was a declaration of God’s unshakable presence for a leader stepping into the unknown.

God doesn’t just walk beside us—He goes before us. He stands in our tomorrows while holding our todays. When fear whispers that we’re abandoned, when trials feel overwhelming, when transitions feel uncertain, His promise still stands:

“I will never leave you or forsake you.”

This is more than encouragement—it’s a covenant. Whether in the valley or on the mountaintop, in the quiet or the chaos, God is there. Not occasionally. Not conditionally. Constantly.

Faith Story

Corrie ten Boom, who endured the horrors of a Nazi concentration camp, once said:

“There is no pit so deep that God’s love is not deeper still.”

Even in a place where it seemed God had turned away, Corrie clung to the truth of His presence. Her faith was not built on circumstances—it was built on the rock-solid promise of a God who never leaves.

Scriptures for Deeper Roots

Deuteronomy 31:8 – God goes before and remains with you

Hebrews 13:5 – “I will never leave you nor forsake you”

Psalm 139:7–10 – Nowhere can we flee from His presence

Isaiah 41:10 – “I am with you… I will uphold you”

Daily Practice

Take a moment today to reflect on where you feel alone or afraid. Then speak this truth aloud:

“God is with me—right here, right now.”

Write it on a sticky note, set it as your phone background, or share it with someone else who needs the reminder. Let the presence of God push out the presence of fear.

Daily Prayer

Father, thank You that I never walk alone. In every season and situation, You are with me. You go before me and You stand beside me. Help me to live today with confidence—not in myself, but in the promise that You will never leave or forsake me. Let fear fall and faith rise.

In Jesus’ name,

Amen.

Deep Reflection

In what area of your life do you feel the most alone right now?

How does God’s promise to be with you change the way you approach that situation?

Who else needs to be reminded of this truth today—and how can you share it?
